what to do when you have a study-related panic attack

What do I do when I have one of my panic attacks due to some exams I need to take soon?

I listen to music.


I look out of the window.


I look at beautiful things that found their way back all the way from SLC.

I look at fun news on other peoples' blogs.

And then I go right back to studying.

Easy, right?

Friday Tutorial: Summer Skirt

On friday, my tutorial went live at the Quilted Fish. And now I am finally blogging about it here :) Late as always, but it seems like I am always behind. Please tell me that I am not the only one!

Am Freitag ist mein Tutorial live auf Amandas Webseite gegangen. Und jetzt endlich schaffe ich es, darüber hier zu bloggen. Natürlich viel zu spät wie immer, aber es sieht so aus als sollte ich mich daran gewöhnen. Bitte sagt mir, dass ich damit nicht allein bin!

Sugar and Spice Circle Quilt

Another project I get to share with you today is my circle baby quilt.
Ein anderes Projekt, an dem ich einige Wochen gesessen habe, war mein Kreisquilt in Babygröße.

I made it with Lynne's QAL instructions and got it finished some weeks ago but never got around to posting about it.
Der Quilt ist mit Lynnes Quilt Along Anleitung gemacht und obwohl ich ihn schon seit ein paar Wochen hier fertig liegen habe, habe ich es nicht geschafft, darüber zu bloggen.

I quilted this with just a few lines around the circles. The fabric line is Sugar&Spice and I used up all of the scraps I had at that time. The back is white polka dots on red fabric which I love :)

Er ist nur mit ein paar konzentrischen Kreislinien gequiltet und ich liebe den Effekt. Die Rückseite ist aus einem knallroten Baumwollstoff mit weißen Punkten für den kleinen dramatischen Effekt :) Die Vorderseite ist mit Sugar&Spice gemacht, wobei ich dafür alle meine damaligen Reste verwertete.

Catching up

I have a lot to post about so I will make this quick :)
Nur ein schneller Überblick, weil ich doch einiges haben, das ich noch posten möchte :)

Zuerst einmal: habt Ihr schon gesehen, dass es auf Amandas Webseite ein SommerCamp gibt. Man kann das Kit für die glamoröse Lampe gewinnen - kurz Glamp. Ein etwas ungewöhnlicher Name, aber wirklich lustig!



I also missed two tutorial fridays.
Two weeks ago it was Julies turn and she made this cute table runner!
Natürlich habe ich in den letzten Wochen auch noch zwei Tutorial Freitage verpasst.
Vor zwei Wochen war Julie dran und hat uns einen kleinen Tischläufer gezeigt. Für alle, die sich jetzt wundern: das ist die amerikanische Flagge und kurz darauf war Independence Day. Also durchaus ein Grund für ein wenig Patriotismus :)

And then Sally got us this darling nine patch quilt!
Und danach hat Sally uns diesen kleinen süßen Nine Patch Quilt gezeigt. Einfach, aber effektiv.


Coming up next will be my summer skirt :)
Als nächstes (das wäre dann heute!) kommt meine Sommerrock Anleitung. Mal gucken, ob ich das verständlich genug geschrieben habe, man ist ja immer so sehr in seinen eigenen Angaben gefangen, dass man meistens überhaupt nicht mitbekommt, wenn da wesentliche Details fehlen :)

Friday Tutorial Magnetic Calendar

I must say that I not only love each and every tutorial of this round at the Quilted Fish but I also want to make each and every one! I just have to find the time and a recipient for it because my tiny room is already full of stuff. Not that I have a lot of things other then fabric :)

Ich muss zuerst einmal sagen, dass ich nicht nur jedes der Projekte liebe, die in dieser Runde auf der Webseite von Amanda vorgestellt werden, sondern dass ich auch vorhabe, jedes der Projekte tatsächlich nach zu arbeiten. Ich muss nur noch die Zeit und den passenden Empfänger dafür finden, denn in mein klitzekleines Zimmer (das im übrigen immer noch nicht fertig ist...) passt nicht mehr so sonderlich viel :)

Heute ist auf jeden Fall Candice dran, die uns zeigt, wie man einen Magnetkalender macht. Einen, den man praktisch bis in alle Ewigkeit verwenden kann. Bitte hier entlang!
